Creating Opportunities

Creating Opportunities

for young entrepreneurs

#Goals

1. Helpa teen launch a business

Youth leadership is a major component of our business model at The Presley Post and with teen entrepreneurship on the rise, Post for the Future presents a unique opportunity to launch a business. The winner will work alongside a team of professionals who demonstrate best business practices, expertise in their field, and a strong work ethic.

The business incubator will last 3-6 months and include an internship at The Presley Post. By the end of the program the teen winner will possess all of the business essentials to move onward.

2. Create jobs and opportunities

for young entrepreneurs

According to the SBA Small Business Profile of 2021, 99.3% (or 360,756) of KY businesses are categorized as small businesses. These small businesses employ 43.6% or 716,731 employees. While the pandemic has affected most businesses both positively and negatively, now is time for entrepreneurs and creatives to be at the forefront of economic growth in KY.

Between March 2019 and March 2020, some KY establishments opened while some closed, but there was still a net increase of 729 establishments in addition to an increase of jobs. Less than 3% of businesses in Louisville are black-owned, and our goal is to shift the narrative and help families in underserved communities build generational wealth.
